1920 - Dead forest

Illustration and another sneak peek from an new upcoming project set in the world of 1920+.

" Year 1927, month unknown. After weeks of wandering through this endless desert, we arrived at an extraordinary place. Beautiful and terrifying at the same time. In the middle of the desert stretched a vast, dead forest, and at its edge stood a sinister statue, a monument. It seemed as if these dead trees had stood there for centuries, almost petrified by the passage of time and the desert sun. Our Bedouin guides were quite nervous and urged us to leave as quickly as possible. They told me that this was the former home and place of worship of some ancient, forgotten deity who must not be named, and that people were disappearing here without a trace. "
